did you like them bringing thorn into the story? i liked the idea but wish they,d have kept it in, instead of cutting it out and acting like 4-6 never happened just so that jamie lee could come back for another film. for me this is were the series messed up. what do you lot think?

I think that I would have kept it, though it makes the writing more complex.
If you make movie after movie without explaining why or how, you depend on the audience to merely accept the idea as "just is".
Now you don't have to do very much else.
Supply teenager babysitters, a particular time, Halloween in this case.
Important: Get the audience into the characters, so that they identify with the would be victims!
That way the audience can root, cheer, think the character is like them and perhaps react the way the audience would to the events on the film, etc.
Thorn, attempted to explain the whole reason behind the activity.
I am thinking that I would keep Thorn, ( my writing Michael vs. the Government left it out, but Kay his cousin, takes the "spirit" of Michael through his blood, and gets possessed by "Sawnay", which in Hebrew means "To Hate . ") Because I like what that could do by opening up the story to the other Runes in the group.
My use of a demon is sort of an explaination in it's own right.
The next part of the story will appear on October 31 .

I don't really think they cut 4-6 out of the series cuz Michael was in Haddonfeild and found out about his niece, so he went after her for some reson, who the hell knows, its Michael. He finished off Jamie in 6 so is now going after his main priority, Laurie.

i think that the halloween series has fallen apart. its just a big mess. i think (and really hope) that in the 9th movie, the filmmakers should just find some way to join all of the movies. ---that would surely help this whole series out.

Now that I really think about it though, they kinda did cut them out. Lauriedoesn't acknoledge the fact she had a daughter.

Yes she doesn't ,,,its like she might of known but never known what happened to her...she only tells Will what all happened in halloween and halloween II,,,she adopted Jamie, ran off and faked her death,,,,i guess she didn't have a clue what happened to Michael after she saw him burn...

I didn't like the thorn, I think it was dumb. I think Michael is a solo killer and kills by him self, he doesn't need anyone's help...! ~Christina~

Hell no they did not mess up the series I like Danielle Harris playing as Jamie Daughter in the two movies and the rest of the sequels the only time they messed it up is when they added Halloween 3 Season of the Witch Jamie Lee could have done a great job as well as Donald Pleacence and Dick Warlock could have done a great job just like he did in Halloween 2. But they had to mess it by using Dick Warlock running some stupid company which gets a bunch kids watching a retarded commercial which make bugs comes out of there heads while wearing the companys masks now that was were they messed up the series BIG TIME!!!

If they make a Halloween 9, I think find it difficult to connect the films together. I think the movie should just be a direct sequel to The Curse of Michael Myers (since the series is in TWO separate storylines). There is nothing to tell after the Resurrection storyline.
